About Me
My Family
My family loves to travel. Here is a photo of us at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah.
Dance
I have been dancing ever since I could remember. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to continue dancing while in college.
A Favorite Phrase
"If it won't matter in 5 years, don't spend more than 5 minutes worrying about it."
As I have gotten older this phrase has resonated with me the most. To me, this phrase prompts me not to overthink situations that won't matter down the road. I have this posted on my computer as a reminder when I find myself overwhelmed or stressed.
Hi! My name is Emily Abramowitz. I received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Dance Studies from Appalachian State University. I have enjoyed App so much that I decided to pursue a Master's in Reading Education and am currently a graduate student. Reading education is so important to me and throughout my field experiences and student teaching while in undergrad, I quickly became passionate about becoming a Reading Specialist. The courses I have taken throughout my graduate program thus far have been crucial and beneficial to my role as a general elementary teacher. I look forward to completing my Master's degree and implementing what I have learned throughout my time at App State into my own classroom!
My Friends
My friends mean the world to me. While in college I have made lifelong friends who I now get to visit since we all have moved outside of Boone.
Who Insprires Me?
My younger sister, Miriam, inspires me the most. We are two years apart and although she is younger than me, I think of her as a role model.
